The Shiselweni region is set to host its inter-schools mini cricket competitions on Wednesday and Thursday, with 26 schools participating in the event. The competition will be held in two clusters, with the Lulakeni cluster taking place on Wednesday and the Lavumisa cluster on Thursday.
The Lulakeni cluster will feature 14 schools, including Decapol, Hosea, Ka Mngayi, La Ngolotjeni, Lulakeni, Mahlabatsini, Makhava, Maloma, Mbava, Mpakeni, Nyatsini, Osabeni, Qomintaba, and Zamokuhle Primary School. The schools will battle it out to determine the top team in the cluster.
Meanwhile, the Lavumisa cluster will have 12 schools participating. The schools that will be competing in this cluster are Hlushwana, Lavumisa, Matsanjeni, Mgampondo, Mlindazwe, Mpandesane, Mthonjeni, Nkuntjini, Nsalitje 1, Nsubane, OSLO, and Phumelela Primary School.
The competitions will be a thrilling affair, with the students showing off their skills and teamwork. The events will be a great opportunity for the young cricketers to gain valuable experience and develop their skills further.
After the Shiselweni region’s competition concludes, the tournament will move to the Lubombo and Manzini regions next week. The competitions are expected to be fiercely contested, with all teams eager to emerge victorious.
